Got Sun? Problem spots? Xeric is the way to go...

I was passing through Lowes earlier today and saw a very eco friendly and brilliant idea.  Having plugged 400 thyme plants in a terrace for a living carpet, I saw this low growing sedum assortment, planted in  a coir fiber mat and I thought EUREKA!   This under $15.00 planted mat, about the size of a baking pan (9 x13), could possibly be the answer for areas that bake in the sun and are dry, for green roof applications as well as for instant rock gardens.  Compared to the one style of sedum in a gallon pot for $6.98....this planted mat could go a lot further and provide more seasonal interest, than one color/one cultivar.  Great idea and the perfect way to think about what to try new this year in your hot garden!
